Elizabeth Lees
Liz has had over 35 years experience of working with children and families. Initially qualifying as a social worker, she trained in Therapeutic Communication with Children at The Tavistock Clinic. An accredited Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with the UKCP for 12 years, she jointly created and ran the Intermediate training course for family therapists in the South West London and St. George’s Trust 8 years ago with the late Margaret Bennett. She continues to teach.
Liz currently works in the local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
She has undertaken In My Shoes DCSF training, Narrative Story Stems Training at the Anna Freud Centre, and has also completed the Attachment Style Interview and Family Assessment Training with the Institute of Family Therapy.
Liz assesses social workers for their post qualifying Award in Child Care, is an Independent Reviewing Officer for Looked After Children, and is a freelance systemic psychotherapist with The Priory, Roehampton. Her private work has included commissioned work for the Courts, as well as consultation to colleagues in a variety of settings.
